If you are a primary food producer in Northern Ireland with a Category 1 Farm Business ID, this scheme could help you invest in equipment that improves animal health, efficiency and environmental performance.
Check the points below to see if you are eligible for the SFIS grant scheme.
A range of Te Pari livestock handling, weighing and animal management products fit within the SFIS eligible item list.
The scheme can cover up to 40% of eligible costs, with a maximum grant of £25,000 per farm business.
For example, if an eligible item has a DAERA reference price of £10,000, the grant support could be up to £4,000. If an eligible investment reaches the top threshold of £62,500, the maximum grant would be £25,000.
The exact grant amount is based on the DAERA reference price for each eligible item, not necessarily the retail price of the product.
How to Apply:
Applications are completed through a simple online portal using a Government Gateway or indirect account login, where applicants answer a few basic farm and business questions and select the grant items they wish to apply for.
