Funding Overview
The Future Farming Investment Scheme (FFIS) is a capital grant scheme designed to help eligible active farmers and crofters improve the efficiency, sustainability or environmental performance of their agricultural business.
FFIS offers upfront capital funding that can cover up to 100% of eligible investment costs. The maximum level of grant is determined by the total area of eligible agricultural land (excluding common grazing shares) that businesses declared on their Single Application Form (SAF) on 15 May 2025. There is no minimum amount of support that can be applied for.
What can you get?
The FFIS grant will pay you up to 100% of the cost of eligible investments. Some examples of the equipment you can use this grant for are:
- Sheep handling systems
- Automatic weighing & drafting systems
- Cattle handling systems
- Manual or powered cattle crushes
- EID tag readers
- Electronic weigh systems
- Auto-drench or vaccination guns
