Operating Instructions

Setting up your Te Pari Sheep Jetter

  1. Fully Charge the 12VDC battery before use.
  2. Place the Jetter on a firm and level surface in an appropriate location that will allow your animals to travel freely into the Jetter.
  3. Line up gates/race to the inlet and outlet of the Jetter
  4. Making sure the Jetter is turned off, connect the battery (12VDC) to the control unit.
  5. Connect the outlet of the pump to the hose tail on the Jetter. Connect the inlet of the pump to the tank outlet and prime the pump if required (Refer to the user manual for the pump you're using). Make sure all connections are securely connected.
  6. Open any valves between the storage tank and Jetter and start your pump.
  7. Switch the “Power” switch to “on” and “Nozzle Selection” switch to “both” on the control box attached to the Jetter.
  8. Prime the Jetter by pushing the “ManualSpray” button on the control box. Keep priming the system until all air bubbles have been removed from the system and the pump has built up pressure.
  9. If desired switch the “Nozzle Selection” switch to either “top” or “btm” if required.
  10. Using the “manualSpray” button adjust the flow/pressure of your pump until you get the desired output flow & pressure.

Running the Jetter

  1. Depending on your setup open any gates etc. and allow your animals to enter the Jetter in a single file.
  2. We recommend running the motor at around ¾ throttle to get between 60 – 90 psi.
  3. The sensors in the Jetter will pick up when an animal enters and opens the selected valves to apply spray to the required area.

Packing up your Te Pari Sheep Jetter

  1. Flush the Jetter with clean water.
  2. Turn your pump off.
  3. Push the “Manual Spray” button to release any pressure in the spray lines.
  4. Turn the “Power” switch to “off”.
  5. Close and valves on the tank and disconnect the hoses from the Jetter.
  6. Wash down and dry the Jetter to clean off the overspray.

Maintenance & Storage

To keep your Te Pari Sheep Jetter working efficiently proper care, cleaning and storage need to be maintained.

Care

Before each use inspect all parts of the Jetter to check for any damage that has occurred. Move and lift the Jetter using the correct lifting points and handles. Following all instructions outlined in this booklet.

Cleaning

After each use of the Jetter flush all the lines with clean water to remove any spray that could cause damage to the pipework if left for an extended amount of time. Wash down the Jetter to remove any overspray of chemicals, dirt and grime that has built up during use and transport. Check nozzles for build-up of grime and clean accordingly.

Storage

Disconnect the battery from the Jetter before storing it and switch the unit off. Drain as much liquid from the unit as possible and fully dry the Jetter and store the Jetter in a clean, dry area that is not subject to the elements.
