Connecting a Te Pari Dosing Gun to a Tru-Test 5000 series Scale Indicator
Connect your Te Pari Auto Dosing Gun to Tru-Test XR5000 or ID5000 Scales using the Te Pari Dosing Gun App. Download the app to any compatible Android smartphone.

- Turn the scale indicator and dosing gun on.
- With your scale indicator connected to your load bars, start a new session and check that it is weighing correctly.
- Open the Te Pari Dosing Gun App on your phone.
Set the Dosing Gun to connect with the scale via Wi-Fi:
- On the Dosing Gun, press the Menu button 4 times to get to Wi-Fi Settings.
- Then use the Arrow keys to select “Edit Wi-Fi”. Tick and press the Menu button again to enter selection.
Select the Te Pari App
- Use the Arrow buttons to change the Wi-Fi Mode to “Te Pari App”.
- Press the Menu button and change DG SSID to “TePari”.
- Press the Menu button and change WiFi Security to “X”.
- Press Menu button once more, and the gun will prompt you to power off and back on to save the changes.
Connect to the Te Pari App on your device:
- Open “WiFi Settings” on your phone/device, then select “TePari” from the list.
You may get a message saying this device does not have internet connection.
Connect the Tru-Test Scale to your device:
- On the Tru-Test Scale Home screen, press Settings, then Next Page, then Connections.
- On your phone, open Bluetooth and press “Pair/Add New Device” and select ID5000 or XR5000 (This can sometimes take a few minutes to appear).
- You will then be prompted for a password, which is either: 0000 or 1234
- Your WiFi and Bluetooth connections have now been established with each device.
Check the connections on your device:
- Now open the Dosing Gun App on your device.
- Go to App Settings, Scale Brand and select Tru-Test.
- In the Dosing Gun App, start a new session, enter the session details and press “Save & Start”.
- Press Connect Device and reconnect to each device (WiFi = Te Pari Dosing Gun & Bluetooth = XR5000).
- Once connected, each device will show as ‘Connected’.
Check the scale and dosing gun calibration:
- On the scale, start a new weigh session and test the dosing gun is calibrating by putting a know weight on the scales (eg a 20kg bag of seed).
- Check that the Dosing Gun is calibrating to the correct amount of drench for the weight.
You are now ready to start your weighing session.
