Te Pari is a global market-leading manufacturer of livestock handling and animal management systems. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in our manufacturing facility in Oamaru.
In this role you will play a vital part in the manufacturing process by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components. You will ensure the machines are functioning efficiently, monitor production output and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating the Te Pari Tube Laser including nesting
Problem solving and operating CNC machinery in a production environment
Be responsible for machine maintenance and promote a high level of 5S and lean principles
Give full attention to workshop and site safety.
Promote continuous improvement.
Operate bandsaws as required.
Hours of work are:
7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (dayshift schedule) or 5:00pm – 5:30am, Monday to Thursday (nightshift schedule).
A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
$29.66 - $30.00 Per Hour
About you:
We are looking for someone who has prior experience with operating CNC machinery. You will hold a relevant Engineering qualification or have 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role. You will be a team player who has a willingness to learn and promote continuous improvement.
