Te Pari Products is looking for a Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to join our People & Culture team and help drive a strong, practical safety culture across our global, family-owned business. Based in Oamaru, this role is all about partnering with people on the ground to keep our workplaces safe, healthy and compliant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and improving our health and safety systems, policies and processes
- Leading hazard management, incident reporting and risk controls
- Supporting audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with contractors and being point of contact for external audits, e.g. Work Safe, Site Wise.
- Coordinating training and delivering practical, real-world safety guidance
- Supporting Health & Safety Committees and employee engagement
- Assisting with injury management, return-to-work and insurance reporting and compliance.
- Providing safety input into projects, new plant, machinery and site upgrades
No two days are the same — this will be a busy, varied role with real influence across the business.
About You
You’re practical, organised and enjoy being out in the business, building relationships and making safety work in the real world.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in a health & safety or compliance-related role (manufacturing or operational environments ideal)
- Working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Confidence with hazard management, incident reporting and safe work practices
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A relevant H&S qualification (or working towards one) — desirable
