CAD Designer | Engineering and Design

Te Pari is a family-owned, globally recognised manufacturer of livestock handling and animal management systems. We are seeking a CAD Designer with proven technical expertise to support innovation, product optimisation, and advanced manufacturing processes. 

This is a full-time position (Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm) based at our Oamaru facility. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• End-to-end involvement in new product development, including CAD modelling, prototyping, field validation, presentation, and handover
• Continuous refinement and optimisation of existing product lines
• Development of jigs, fixtures, and tooling compatible with robotic welding systems
• Preparation and maintenance of CAD documentation, drawings, and associated quality control to industry-leading standards 

About You:

You’ll bring both technical know-how and practical experience, with the ability to see projects through from concept to completion. Ideally, you will have: 

• Be able to display a proven understanding in Fitting, Welding, Assembly and/or tooling creation.  
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Strong knowledge of tooling and product design
• Strong focus on Health & Safety requirements  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent time management and communication skills
