The forcing pen helps to guide livestock into the cattle race. Te Pari Handling Systems have a circular forcing pen with a rotating gate for safe stock flow.
The circular force pen has a rotating gate steel gate that pushes cattle towards the handling race. The gate includes an anti-backing latch that automatically locks into place every 0.5m, preventing the cattle from pushing the gate back onto the operator.
At Te Pari, we use the best practices defined by industry leaders, such as Dr Temple Grandin, to ensure the optimal performance of our handling systems. The C-Race is a cattle race shaped like the letter "C". Its curved design promotes cattle movement.
Te Pari Cattle Handling Systems have a range of innovative features that improve efficiency and safety.
Make cattle drafting simple, accurate and stress-free with a Te Pari handling system designed to suit your yard layout and workflow.
Pair your Te Pari Cattle Crush with a 3-Way Draft Module to safely and efficiently draft cattle three ways. Our wire rope–controlled 3-way draft module allows you to manually operate the drafting gates from the rear of the crush, keeping you in full control while maintaining smooth cattle flow.
For greater efficiency, upgrade to an Auto Draft Module. This pneumatic-powered system integrates with your weigh scales to automatically sort cattle by weight or EID. With remote control operation and seamless data connection, you can draft cattle faster, reduce labour requirements, and improve accuracy.
For larger operations or those wanting full automation, the Taurus Auto Drafting System delivers a completely automated cattle management solution — helping you work smarter, save time, and maximise performance.
Te Pari Steel Cattle Handling Systems are made in New Zealand with high-quality steel and all steel parts are hot-dip galvanised after fabrication to ensure the best protection from corrosion - inside and out.
Our custom cattle rail provides superior lateral strength compared to standard oval cattle rails. It measures 67x48 mm and provides equivalent strength to square cattle rails without sharp edges and pressure points that may harm livestock. Additionally, due to its smaller height, the rail provides better visibility for both cattle and handlers.
The rails are backed by our 5-year Stockbend Warranty. If a rail bends under lateral force during the warranty period, we will replace the entire panel at no extra cost.
The working areas in our cattle handling systems use steel cattle rail panels securely mounted to a concrete base with high-quality Dynabolts. Our custom-made clamps connect the panels, ensuring they remain stable, sturdy, and rattle-free.
Since panels are bolted to the concrete, they can be moved if you ever want to alter or relocate your handling system in the future.
Our fabricated steel components are immersed in molten zinc during the 'hot dip' galvanisation process, resulting in a highly durable thick outer layer of zinc and a bonded inner layer (Zn-Fe) that protects against corrosion.
The galvanising process occurs after fabrication, ensuring that even the welded joints are safeguarded and protected.
The zinc coats the entire surface area, including places that would otherwise be unreachable.
Hot dip galvanising produces a thicker zinc coating for better protection.
Unlike spray or powder coatings, the coating is bonded with the steel, making it more durable for everyday wear and tear.
The right gate in the right position is essential in cattle facilities to ensure smooth, efficient handling, and enhance the safety and productivity of the operators
Our anti-rattle slam latches have noise-reducing nylon bush inserts, steel handles, a heavy-duty 25mm striker pin and a compact strike plate with a nylon bush to reduce the noise. This helps keep the animals calm, and the compact design reduces the risk of injury.
Our gate anchors allow you to fasten a gate to the ground and are particularly useful for creating temporary barriers or guiding cattle. When moving cattle thru the gates, the anchors are a great way of latching the gate to the panels, stopping it from opening if bumped by cattle.
Many Te Pari handling systems design include a ‘cattle-free’ working area, providing the operator with a safe and secure area to work and store supplies. Personnel access gates are included in many designs, allowing the operator to move around quickly and safely.
Our expertly designed cattle handling systems ensure livestock flow easily and efficiently. Operating a Te Pari handling system is a one-person task, and we offer a range of automated upgrades to increase efficiency further.
Our steel cattle handling systems have been tried and tested in New Zealand, Australia and the UK for over 25 years. We utilise only premium components and all manufacturing is done in our cutting-edge factory in New Zealand, ensuring it's long-lasting reliable and durable.
The installation process typically takes between 3 and 5 days, depending on the size of your system and the extent of the groundwork required. Te Pari will oversee the entire process, ensuring minimal downtime.
The working area of a Te Pari Steel Cattle facilitiy features a solid concrete base. Our custom panel clamps eliminate rattling, and our anti-rattle slam latches use nylon bushes, removing the steel-on-steel noise, and ensuring a quiet working environment.
Te Pari cattle handling systems utilise our custom-made 67x48mm steel rails, which are 15% wider than most alternatives. The extra width enhances lateral strength, meaning the panels won't bend when cattle push against them.
