Te Pari Products was established in 1979 by Peter French. Peter invented the scissor action docking iron that won a Fieldays Innovation Award in 1980 and became the flagship product for Te Pari.
Te Pari is the Maori word for cliff and is the name of Peter’s farm on the banks of the Rangitaiki River. The Te Pari logo symbolises the sun rising over the banks of the cliff.
For over 17 years Peter and his wife operated Te Pari and expanded the range to include other animal husbandry and handling products. In 1997 the Blampied family purchased Te Pari Products and continued to expand the product range to its current state including the Cattlemaster brand.
During 2002-2003 Te Pari relocated the entire manufacturing business from the North Island to Oamaru in North Otago of the South Island.
In 2004, Te Pari acquired the Donalds Woolpress manufacturing business and in 2011 strategically acquired the Racewell livestock equipment business.
Today Te Pari is still family owned and continues to expand. While New Zealand and Australia is our primary market many products go offshore to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe and even the Falkland Islands. The company now employs modern production methods including robotic welders and has a highly skilled sales and customer services team. We also stock a range of spare parts to ensure your equipment remains in top condition for years to come.
